Template Documentation

This template is used on a large number of pages. In order to prevent unnecessary server load, edits should be kept to a minimum. Please experiment in your user page, and consider discussing your changes on the talk page before applying them. Editing a template causes all pages that use the template to be re-rendered. If the template is used often, this can put a lot of load on the server since it fills up the job queue.

Usage

This template places a banner noting that the article requires cleanup to meet the Lexicon's standards and places the article in the category Articles needing cleanup.

The single unnamed parameter taken by the template is the reason the article was marked as needing cleanup.

{{cleanup|this article has numerous spelling and grammatical mistakes.}}

This produces:

This article is in need of cleanup. You can help the NWN Lexicon by fixing it. Reason: this article has numerous spelling and grammatical mistakes.

If the parameter is left blank, the default reason "this article needs to be converted into wiki format."

You can set the type parameter to change the text slightly based on whether the template is describing an entire article or only a section. If the type parameter is not set, it will default to "article". For cleanup needs confined to a single section, use the following:

It's possible to use other values for this parameter (e.g., tutorial) but try to use these sparingly.
